I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker who provides psychotherapy services to youth, families, and adults. I am trained as a generalist to provide quality mental health services to all age groups. I am currently providing individual, couples, and family therapy. I see children as young as three years old.
My areas of specialization include disorders of children and adolescents such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Pervasive Developmental Disorders (Autism, Asperger's Disorder), and Attachment Disorders. I also specialize in family relationship problems such as parenting issues and parent-child relationship conflicts. Other areas of expertise include Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Adjustment issues, Personality Disorders, Grief, Loss, and Trauma.
Treatment approaches are primarily Cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques and Trauma Focused-Cognitive-behavioral therapy. I teach cognitive restructuring, effective communication skills, relaxation strategies, stress management, anger control strategies, and other positive coping skills. I also utilize play therapy techniques, solution-focused, and narrative therapy. In addition, I use strengths-based and family systems approach to enhance the sense of identity, self-esteem, and confidence.
